Upper Eyelid : Using black yarn, insert the needle 1 stitch to the side of the eye, then
bring it out at the upper front of the eye to embroider the upper eyelid.
Eye Whites : Using white yarn, embroider the whites of the eyes along the lower and
outer edge of each eye.
Eyelashes : Using fine black yarn, embroider the eyelashes above the eyes.

Eyebrows : Using a single strand of black yarn, embroider the eyebrows 5 stitches above
the eyes, spanning 3 stitches in a slight diagonal.
Ears : Using skin-colored yarn, attach the yarn 2 stitches below the eyes and 4 stitches

Lips : I colored the lips with soft pastel chalk, covering 1 stitch. You can also embroider

4) Sew a small pearl bead into the center of each petal, if desired.

Large Wings (Make 2) 
1) ch 11, turn back, SL.ST, 2sc, 2hdc, 4dc, 4dc in the last chain, 
 Continue working along the opposite side of the chain, 4dc, 2hdc, 2sc, SL.ST   
 Leave a long tail for sewing.
 Small Wings (Make 2)
1) ch 9, turn back, 2sc, 5hdc, 4hdc in the last chain, 
Continue along the opposite side of the chain, 5hdc, 2sc 
Sew the wings to the body in opposite pairs. 
Embroider the details as shown in the photos, sew a small pearl bead in place,
and use green yarn to embroider the flower stem. Glue a piece of felt to the
back of the dragonfly and trim it neatly around the edges. 
Attach pink yarn to the BLO stitches of the small wing and work SL.ST around
the outer edge of all the wings. ( Do not work between the two wings.)
ANTENNAE ; Ch 4 for each antenna. Thread a pearl bead onto the end of each
chain and tie a secure knot.

ASSEMBLING THE CHARM

Using yellow and pink yarn held together (3 strands in total), ch 12. 
Insert the loop through the clasp of the charm attachment, then ch 32 and join it to the loop at the top of the dragonfly.
(You can adjust the length to your preference.)
Attach 3 strands of yarn to the bottom of the dragonfly. 
 Thread colorful beads onto the ends and tie secure knots to hold them in place. 
Finally, tie the charm to the chain on the doll's head to secure it.
I decorated the top with beads, but you can embellish it however you like. You can also add a ribbon.
